An of evening of fundraising, cocktails, desserts, live music, dancing, product viewings, networking, raffles and social networking will commence at 6:00PM Tuesday, June 28  at Pranna NY (79 Madison Ave between E. 28th and E. 29th ST) for the “1st Annual MOMpreneurs Against Human Trafficking” Benefit for Stop Child Trafficking Now.

MOMpreneur's Against Human Trafficking was created by six MOMPreneurs and Mahogany Communications to bring attention to the power of women in today's society and will use their powerful voices for a little social good. 

100% of the proceeds will be donated to SCT NOW.

My name is Amy Sapirstein, founder of Active Urban Mom, LLC, and creator of Mommy Mitten. I am 36, living in New York City with my loving husband and our 2 daughters; Blakely 3.5 and Keaton 1.  The concept for Mommy Mitten came about in October 2007 when I was pushing Blakely in her stroller around our New York City neighborhood. It was just getting chilly, and I had not yet pulled my gloves and mittens from the back of my closet. That is when the idea struck.

Founder/Inventor, Carry-Her

Founder and inventor of the Carry-Her doll carrier, backpack, Roberta Wagner is first a mom. While she grew tired of lugging around her little girls doll, she was inspired to create the solution. Ro was very happy to allow her daughter to bring her doll on excursions. She was not so happy when shortly into the trip, the doll was under her own arm, not her daughters.

Guest Speaker- Lucinda Cross

Lucinda Cross is a key note speaker, author and mompreneur. Founder of Corporate Mom Dropouts, host of Whats Your Story on MomTV and Business Birthing Consultant. She is also the co-creator of Super Mom Entrepreneur Annual Conference. For several years, she has made it her life’s mission to uplift, inspire and change women’s lives. She likes to call herself a catalyst for change. Known as the Business Midwife Lucinda shares her gifts as a marketing strategist, mentor and writer.

DJ "FlyyMommy"

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Tamika "DJ FlyyMommy" Haywood was heavily influenced by NYC and its vast variety of cultures, music and art that inspired her to reach in and mold her creativity. It all started with humble beginnings as a dancer in grade school, with knowledge in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop. Once, FlyyMommy attended Hofstra University, she started her clothing line Cultureflyy in the Fall of 2007. In April of 2008, her daughter Ava Niara was born. As a form of bonding the mother and daughter would listen to music and together. This inspired FlyyMommy to go after another dream of hers to become a DJ. With that, DJ FlyyMommy goes by the tag line, "Live in 3D : Designer, Dancer, DJ." and hopes to inspire other women, especially mothers to be a Jane of All Trades as well.
